As the White Dew solar term ushers in the crisp autumn air, a wave of seasonal fruits has hit the market all at once. Milk tea shops and dessert stores are eagerly weaving these fresh picks into their menus, and CHABAIDAO marked the occasion by unveiling its "Lingnan Longan Icy Milk" on the very day of White Dew. Each cup packs in roughly 23 Shi Xia longans, yet it is only on sale for a little over 40 days, drawing in crowds of consumers keen to savor the freshest flavors of the season and embrace the ritual of nature's shift. On its launch day, it rocketed to the top spot as the best-selling new item across all national outlets.

"This is my first time trying a longan-flavored milk tea—the honeyed aroma of the longan really comes through, and you can also catch hints of gardenia blossom and creamy milk," shared a customer named Ms. Zhang from Fujian. In her hometown, there's a tradition of eating longans during White Dew. "No matter where I am at this time of year, as long as I can get my hands on a longan, it feels like a taste of home." On social media, the old saying "Eating a longan at White Dew is as nourishing as a whole chicken" has resurfaced, with netizens joking, "No more peeling longans—just place an order and drink up, sipping it is as good as a tonic." As people show off their purchases, they're also swapping stories about their own regional White Dew customs. A simple cup of milk tea is bringing a time-honored tradition back into the daily rhythm of younger generations in a whole new way.

A representative from CHABAIDAO explained that the Shi Xia longan used this time is a standout premium variety from the Lingnan region, celebrated for its small pit, thick flesh, and juicy burst. Late summer to early autumn is its peak season, and the region's abundant sunshine paired with ideal temperature swings between day and night lets the fruit pile up natural sugars, delivering a rich, honeyed sweetness and full-bodied fruit essence once ripe. "Since longans come from a concentrated growing area and have a short prime window, we source them in bulk during the fruit's golden harvest period and use a cold-press technique at the orchard to lock in freshness, ensuring the Shi Xia longan's flavor stays consistently true," the representative added. The Lingnan Longan Icy Milk is a true seasonal offering—a large cup contains about 23 Shi Xia longans, and the entire sales window is just over 40 days.

"The standout sales performance of the Lingnan Longan Icy Milk has also fueled our drive to keep uncovering the distinct flavors of each season." As it turns out, CHABAIDAO has been rolling out new creations built around in-season fruits, from Lychee Icy Milk to this Lingnan Longan Icy Milk, steadily piecing together a lineup of icy milk drinks that spans different seasons and fruit profiles. The series has racked up cumulative sales of over 36 million cups so far.
