Escalating tensions in the Middle East pushed international oil prices significantly higher on the 9th, reaching their highest level since May 22. Brent crude futures climbed above the $100-per-barrel mark. By the close of trading, light sweet crude oil futures for October delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange settled at $96.05 per barrel, up 3.25%, while Brent crude oil futures for November delivery on the London ICE Futures Exchange settled at $101.21 per barrel, an increase of 3.36%.

Domestic fuel prices are set to undergo their first adjustment in September at midnight tomorrow (September 11, 24:00). Influenced by continued gains in international oil prices today, the crude oil change rate has already reached 5.89%, with an expected price increase of 330 yuan per ton. Based on this increase, gasoline and diesel prices are projected to rise by 0.25 yuan to 0.30 yuan per liter tomorrow night. Following this adjustment, the price of 95-octane gasoline is expected to approach the 9 yuan per liter mark.
